Our Habitas Atacama

PATAGONIA, CHILE

Our Atacama Habitas are meticulously created to blend in with the desert landscape, utilizing earthy tones and natural materials that capture the Atacama's raw beauty. The architecture has a modern touch that combines clean lines and minimalist aesthetics, drawing inspiration from the historic adobe constructions of the area. Every area has been thoughtfully designed to provide peace of mind and a sense of being in tune with nature.

Lodgings are witness to the company's dedication to both luxury and sustainability. The guest rooms, sometimes known as "tented suites," are roomy and well-furnished, providing the ideal balance of coziness and rustic appeal. Every suite has a private outdoor shower, a king-sized bed with luxurious bedding, and a shaded patio with breathtaking views of the surrounding desert. The handcrafted furniture and locally produced materials throughout the rooms create a cozy, welcoming space that seems both opulent and genuine.

A region of extremes, the Atacama Desert is home to enormous salt flats that extend as far as the eye can reach and towering volcanoes that stand against an unending blue sky. Surreal geological formations, prehistoric petroglyphs, and hidden oases dot the terrain, each providing a window into the region's rich past and distinctive ecology. A variety of guided trips are available at Habitas Atacama to allow visitors to see the most famous locations in the desert. Every adventure offers a chance to see the amazing diversity of the Atacama, from the surreal scenery of the El Tatio Geysers to the ethereal beauty of the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley). Additionally, visitors can explore Chile's largest salt flat, Salar de Atacama, home to flocks of vibrant pink flamingos, or hike to the ancient ruins of Pukará de Quitor, where they can learn about the region's indigenous cultures.
