Kasara Chitwan

NEPAL

Chitwan used to be the royal family of Nepal's hunting ground. The nation's efforts to save its wildlife have been centered on this UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1973, during which time populations of endangered tigers and rhinoceros have recovered. The verdant, light-washed environment of Kasara, a perfect fusion of native materials and modern minimalism, is filled with the sound of birdsong.

Beyond wooden walks that span pools brimming with aquatic flora, private bungalows rest. Each has an airy bathroom with an open rain shower, a spacious bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a comfortable lounge. Even more seclusion and amenities can be found in the two private villas tucked away at the end of the property. They have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, a kitchenette with a dining table, and private lounge pools.

The focal point of Kasara is the stunning pool within the resort, which is surrounded by lush vegetation and tall trees. The pool is a great place to cool off after a morning of safari, meditation, spa treatments, or massages. Enjoying a cocktail while relaxing on one of the draped day beds creates a picture-perfect Instagram moment. The pool is transformed into a stage for a cultural performance by the nearby Tharu people every evening during Happy Hour. Here, you are also able to eat. If you give Kasara's amazing chefs sufficient advance notice, they will make a special barbecue for you beside the pool!
