Alila Purnama

LAMPUNG, INDONESIA

Alila Purnama, which means "Full Moon," is not your usual hotel; rather, it's one of Asia's most opulent liveaboard ships, providing a singular and immersive experience for exploring the breathtaking Indonesian archipelagos. This exquisitely built Phinisi ship offers visitors an unmatched trip across some of the most pristine marine settings on the planet by fusing traditional Indonesian style with modern conveniences.

Alila Purnama is indicative of Indonesia's illustrious naval past. Known for their extraordinary boat-building abilities, the Konjo tribe of South Sulawesi built this 46-meter-long traditional wooden Phinisi ship by hand. The ship has five roomy, well decorated rooms, one of which is the master bedroom, which offers 180-degree views of the ocean, a private terrace, and an opulent en suite bathroom. The design offers guests an elegant yet cozy space by skillfully blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary conveniences.

Travelers with refined tastes can choose from a variety of beautifully built suites at Alila Purnama. The Sriwijaya Suite, the master suite, is the height of luxury with its large area, panoramic views, and luxurious furniture. Teak, rattan, and other locally obtained materials are used to decorate the ship's interior, which results in a cozy and welcoming space. Whether docked in a peaceful cove or sailing across glistening waters, large windows in the staterooms and common areas guarantee that guests are always linked to the spectacular surroundings.
